I demand an explanation!

I don't understand why whoever put this sofa off the side of a dirt road, surrounded by a huge field, bothered to position it so nicely. I now wish I had taken a photo from behind the couch to show what it was facing. I was too concentrated on trying to frame the couch with the lines behind it. For some reason this reminds me of a pigeon I saw on the way to work while I was driving on an overpass. The pigeon was on the side of the road, watching traffic speed by and looked like it was contemplating trying to WALK across to the other side. Had it not been on an overpass I might have thought the thing couldn't fly. Don't ask why my brain connected these two situations. My only explanation is that they both have to do with things on the side of roads that have no reasonable explanation for being there. Explain yourself, couch! And as for you, idiotic pigeon, I hope at least your feet are quick.
